Blökk equipment is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, the unit will be repaired or replaced by Blökk at no charge as long as the unit has not suffered accidental damage, abuse, misuse, abnormal wear and tear, or misapplication. Opening or altering the product in any way voids this warranty. The warranty extends only to you, the original purchaser. It is not transferable to anyone who subsequently purchases the Blökk equipment from you.  Proof of purchase must be produced to affect warranty coverage.

INTENDED USE

Blökk is intended as a rigging device that may be multiplied and employed in many different configurations.  We offer only suggestions of use and deployment.  It is the responsibility of the user to understand the limits of functionality of rigging systems and the dangers associated with such systems.

CARE/ MAINTENANCE/ INSPECTION

Lashings and ropes will eventually suffer degradation from fatigue, wear, UV, and other environmental, mechanical and chemical exposure.  Lashings and ropes should be inspected as a part of your regular equipment maintenance program and replaced if they show significant wear or fiber damage.  To receive the maximum performance benefit from them, they must be used, correctly installed, regularly inspected, and replaced when required. Lashings should be attached to a mounting point with a smooth, well rounded profile without sharp edges or burrs. If in doubt, use a shackle with a smooth surface between the lashing and the mounting point.

Grit, sand and other contaminants can damage bearing systems. The pulleys have a precisely engineered bearing system that should be kept clean and free of contaminants for optimum performance and service life. In particular, the bearing areas should be flushed with fresh water regularly and periodically cleaned with a mild detergent and water.  Dry lubricants such as Ronstan® RF3004 Sailfast Silicone Lubricant, Pump Spray may be used to lubricate the bearing system. Oil/petrochemical based lubricants must not be used.

Inspect overall integrity of your gear before each use. Check sewn goods for excessive abrasion, frayed or cut stitching.  Check hardware for cracks, fissures, dents, loose parts and general smooth operation. Check lashing and rope for excessive wear and tear. If you notice any significant damage, discontinue use of the product.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Foreword:

Before using this product, the user must thoroughly inspect all components in use for wear and damage.  Reference the section Care, Maintenance, and Inspection for instructions.  Be sure to read and understand our Disclaimer of Liability and be aware that these products are not suitable for life-saving or climbing purposes.

Blökk is intended as a portable block and tackle system.  The individual Blökk unit is rated for 400 lbs. maximum capacity. Blökk units may be combined for more advantage in many different configurations, thus yielding many more times the individual unit rating.  The limiting factor is 400 lbs. of force applied to any single Blökk unit.  There are many resources that can be consulted for safe, conventional rigging.  Please refer to a trusted source for instructions.

Please be mindful of the conditions of the workplace and be cautious of the potential of falling objects, and the ratings of and integrity of auxiliary equipment. The user should know the weight of the load being worked, and be able to calculate and plan for the reciprocal forces to the anchor, auxiliary equipment, and to the person pulling.

Blökk uses military spec. paracord in its products, and recommends that the user only uses the same for rigging, as the strength ratings may change based upon other materials’ yields and wear factors.

Note that exposure to grit, such as soil and sand, can cause damage to the pulley.  Do not drag pulleys along the ground. The user is advised not to wear jewelry while rigging and to avoid the involvement of any possible encumbrances or items that could become entangled in the rigging. Always keep yourself and others out of the potential path of heavy objects.

Instructions:

For any type of rigging be sure to start with a secure anchor point and secure one leg of the system to it with a suitable knot or securely attached auxiliary device.  Next pass the rope through a single Blökk unit or multiple units and assemble the desired block and tackle system according to your configuration needs.  Attach the load side of the system (the side against which the work force will be applied).  Next, attach the end of the rope to the work-side (that’s you) to a dead pull handle or other suitable device using the same care of attachment means throughout.    When using a Blökk unit or dead pull, slip the hand through the loop, and situate the loop to go over the overhand side of the wrist and hand-grip around the other side.
